As soon as we arrived at pizza express there was a lack of front of house, meaning myself, partner and two younger children were left to wait in a queue as there was nobody there to greet us. The queue continued to grow and it Took a good while before being seen to. After sitting at the table, we were left 15 minutes, I got up to speak to a staff member and told her that it had been explained to us that there was an approximate wait of up to 45 minutes for food, however we had been sat for 15 minutes and nobody had been to take a drinks order- I was told to ‘bare with her a minute’ despite already waiting 15 minutes. This particular member of staff didn’t return to us. Another lady (with blue/green hair- didn’t catch her name, sorry) came to us and took our order. (She saved the evening) after ordering, we did. Have quite a wait, which was explained to us- disappointed with our food, we both ordered pasta dishes and a side of garlic bread. As you can see from the pictures, food was burnt, pasta was chewy from being over cooked and the garlic bread was also very burnt. Such a shame after waiting such a long time. The lady that served us, as previously mentioned, saved the evening for us- such a shame tonight as we were out celebrating my partners daughters 6th birthday.

Just getting over three days of food poisoning! Looking back that was the last thing I ate and I don’t think the meat on my Pizza was cooked properly.Of coarse nothing to be done about it maybe look into kitchen hygiene and food preparation apart from that never had a problem service is excellent and always prompt.

Pizza not my first choice for a meal

Great food here, as expected for a pizza express! Take friendly and attentive staff, manager definitely has his head on his shoulders! Clean restaurant, fast service, great location, highly recommend!

Ordered online for delivery at 18.42. Received email notification saying delivery at 19.53. Arrived at 19.55 ... on opening the box, the pizza was stone cold. Looking at the delivery note attached to the box Just Eat pick up was at 19:09. So no wonder it was cold .. it had been out for delivery for 46 minutes!! Pretty poor really .. what we could eat of the pizza was like rubber... note to self ... next time use the local Dominos! Very disappointed in Just Eat's service and not good for Pizza Express's reputation

Delicious fresh well prepared food. Peter the manager was a joy, very attentive and caring.
Great choice for a lovely lite lunch, not too busy or hectic, plenty of tlc. Will be returning promptly.

I came into Pizza Express around 3pm today with my disabled son and was delighted with how staff treated me and catered for my son’s requirements.
I was greeted by Georgina, who was incredible when serving us today. She persuaded me to go for 3 courses, which were all incredible. Credit to the chef too of course!
Georgina made me feel welcome, and always gave the time to check up on us. She also helped me download the app and sign up, which I will be using the next time i visit the restaurant!

Friday evening, food was delicious as always and our Server Georgina was amazing couldn’t have been more helpful with my friends dairy intolerance and communicating waits due to other large groups dining she even took time to help us figure out the app!! We will be back soon

Dined on Thursday at about 1pm, served by the fabulous Georgina!!! With food made by the lovely girl in the kitchen, i think her name was Grace! Made our experience so so nice, definitely going to come back next time we are in Telford!

The food here is always delicious. I especially love the gluten-free pizza; the dough is light on the stomach and lower in calories. Highly recommend it to everyone!

We went on Saturday evening for a pizza- there were 8 adults and 1 child ( aged almost 2 years old). The man that served us was nice. We ordered 6 pizzas+ 2 starters+ kids pasta+1 portion of ice cream. We get our pizzas after 1 hour and 40 minutes and 2 of them weren't in our order. On those 2 that were wrong we waited about 20 minutes. I ordered half in half with my husband - he took his pizza half spacy and I took mine mild as I can't eat spicy. All of it was spicy so I ended up hungry and sad that I can't eat it. We don't get our starters (2 portions of dough balls). While we were waiting I realised that making those dough balls doesn't take too much time as they were making a few portions (but for delivery orders). It builds up my disappointment when we did not get our ones. Unfortunately tiddler didn't get one portion of ice cream as well. And her pasta was, well, if it's meat pasta then I must be blind because there were some lack of meat that we could find when we looked so closely. Come on! I know it's a kid portion but seriously? We were reminding employers that were passing us about 3 times about dough balls and ice creams but probably they decided that delivery customers are priority. In the mean time we have been told that there is only one chef and he is in training. Well I was warming up to the coffee shop and as far as I remember you should never live a new employer on the trading all alone. It would be more fair if they would tell us at the beginning that they have short stuff and that we may need to wait VERY long for our food. If we'd known we would go somewhere else but instead we wasted an evening. I wish to give them some tips but we couldn't!

It was mine and my boyfriend’s first time dining here so we weren’t sure what to expect. We were greeted with such a lovely welcome and the lovely young lady with the green hair was exceptional with talking us through the best deals and price choices and she was so friendly and kind throughout and made our visit so much easier and great!

I took my daughters here. It was my eldest ones birthday. Honestly, it was my worst experience eating out I've ever had. Was seated and after half an hour waiting and watching three tables who came in afterwards not only order but food arrive I had to call the telephone at the booking desk behind us to get someone to take our order. No cutlery was brought to the table we had to take from another table. 50 mins after ordering, one starter arrived, and still no drinks. Only ordered a coke which came in a bottle and two waters. Took a further 40 mins for mains to arrive. Mine came with a cutter that had a previous customers pizza still on it. Was told they must have taken it from the wrong tin. The one with the dirty ones in. No offence, but they shouldn't be anywhere neat each other. One starter never arrived. Would have been more understanding if it was actually busy. In fairness to the manager, they didn't charge me. I think they were more embarrassed than anything. Also, I felt the kids eat free was a bit of a con as there was nothing my two children would have off the limited menu. We still chose to stay as I didn't mind paying anyway. However, the overall service completely ruined it, and my daughters birthday meal.

30th August - Telford south water square - near Cineworld.
Surprisingly Poor service, poor food. Not the usually high stand you find in all other pizza express resteraunt. Staff is new, unapologetic. The manager should be trained properly to pizza express standards, he then needs to close until the staff are trained and ready to operate a pizza express chain. I will be contacting the regional manger about what I experienced and 10-12 customers I also saw who were angry and upset about the 60-90 minute delay.
-main issue - approximately 90 minutes hours until order arrived. This was abnormally high and the main reason I and many other customers were not happy.
-some customers walked out.
-Burnt gluten free dough balls, had to cut off burnt bits so daughter could eat something as wait was so long. Promised Replacement doughballs never arrived.
-Lots of pizza going into boxes - 1 cook seemed to seemed to be struggling with 90% of the order workflow to prepare resteraunt orders and delivery orders.
-Staff unfriendly , no smiles , no welcome, no apologies when orders delayed and complained.
-10-12 customers complaining at kitchen staff at food preparation area. Some customers angry and shouting.
-Never seen anything like this at any other Pizza Express.

Wonderful experience dining here tonight ! We all very much enjoyed our food & the children loved the ice cream. Great value for money, kids eat free till start of September so they had a three course meal. Everywhere very clean and tidy and a very enjoyable evening. Would recommend & will return 😊

We booked a table for several families. They required us to place an order a few days in advance so they could be ready on time but we had to wait over an hour for the food. The food was good but the service was totally lacking. At the end they were not able to calculate who should pay how much and how to calculate the deposit that we had to pay when booking the table

My advice, do not get delivery. Not only was our order incorrect (ordered a pizza and dough-balls, no pizza arrived). I called the restaurant 3 times regarding my order, the second call I was told it will be sorted.. an hour later nothing arrived so I call back, to be told that it had not been sorted at all. I was told there was an IT issue, but no one had the decency to call me, despite having my contact details, to tell me there was an issue? Incredibly disappointed and in no way will be returning to this establishment either in store or for delivery. The only positive I have to say is that the gentleman I spoke to on the phone was lovely, I just wish that he followed through with what he was telling me.
As a tip to the restaurant, if there are issues, contact the customer. Don’t just leave us in limbo, it definitely does not help the situation.

We paid £50 deposit for booking few tables because there was a lot of us, we were asked to preorder food in advance so it's ready when we arrive. Long story short we waited 45 minutes for starters(simple pastry and tomato salad) and almost 1h and 20 minutes for main dish. What was the point in preordering food when we had to wait so long.
We don't recall to hear sorry for the wait or any discount etc, on top of that we had to pay for "service" charge.
What a waste of time.
